I was in London again this week. I vistied the Westfield centre for the first time and it was amazing. Its such a modern shopping centre and i think it just shows how stores and times have changed so much how they have what would be highstreet stores sitting alongside designer stores. I think its good it brings all kinds of people to gether and it gives more oppertunity to see what kind of clothes are out there and see what designer has to offer compared to highstreet. People who usually only shop designer may be tempted to a chaper purchase because its their and they can see that highstreet stores are really on trend and some things are good quality for money. Likewise it would pursuade people like myself who says they cant afford designer pieces to invest in one good expensive item then lots of cheaper ones because it has longeivity!
I also bought another metre of sequin fabric whilst i was there, its so expensive!! (but beautiful) Im hoping i can balence it out with some cheaper fabrics to even out the collection expense. I got back to uni and realised that i was still going to need more and had to order another metre over the phone which was worrying incase the sent the wrong fabric as once cut you cant return it! It made me realise i need to get more organised i cant keep ordering more and more fabric i need to work out the quantity i will need before hand. Also because then my fabric was in three pieces rather then three metres in a row so it limits the length i can get out of it!
