Outfit One

This week i have been working on this top to go with the nude flared trousers. My inspiration came from my research into femininity and romance and wanted to create a really feminine piece that was sexy but sophisticated to. I made a basic block to start with and i did some research in to lanvin past collections as i feel they do collections that are womanly and sexy without been revealing so how i could make this top sexy and show some flesh in a non tasteless way. I found by keeping the front highnecked and covered and having the back cut away the way the twists come around the body and leave a small amount of flesh on show when tucked into the trousers works really nicely. It also makes it appear as if there is no back to top as it is hiddne by the waist of the trousers which i like. The twisting idea came from a combination of working on the stand and from my research into draping that is reminiscent of roman mythology and lanvin used alot of draping aswel.
