Monday Meeting

Today in the meeting we discussed music and shoes and accesorising your collection. Music wise i have been searching throughout the year and have built a little base of songs at the moment im quite sold on one song though, i have my heart set on it 4th of july by kelis. Its quite up tempo so i think it has a good beat and pace for the models to walk to i think it would keep peoples attention and the words of the song reflect my theme of romance and i think it fits my sophisticated yet bohemian style to my collecection. I think it has the essence of what my work is about. click here to have a listen Alison talked about various awards they give out or tutors can put you forward for. oBVIOUSLY BEEN CONSIDERED FOR THE WOMENSWEAR WOULD BE AMAZING!! But realistically every womens wear student is after that! I know its not about tailoring your work towards an award you either are something or your not however i dont do print or any other of he supporting studys knit which their are awards for but i have been considering bags to accompy my collection as we say it sits in town wear and i think it would make it more down to earth and appropriate for town as some of my ideas start to get a bit "red carpet" alison says. Alison said their is a mulberry award for bags i was thinking moss green large handbags loose dishelvelled almost definately shoppers, and also daytime clutch bags. Because im inducted in metal work and can use the machinery i decided to use that to my advantage and made a wooden box bag. It is only a first attempt but im quite please with it. Its really plain and streamline like the look im going for sophisticated, but is interesting also. Im considring weather or not to varnish it and keep it a wooden colour or weather to cover it in leather?
